How requests, offers, privacy, ratings, credits and the sample listings work. If yours is not here, the contact form reaches a person.

For drivers
What does LocalMatch cost me as a driver?
Nothing. Sending a request, comparing offers, choosing a detailer and leaving a rating are all free, and there is no account to create. You pay the detailer you choose, directly, for the work.
How do I get prices?
Fill in five short steps: the vehicle and its condition, the service and any extras, your town and where the car will be, optional photos, then your name, mobile number and email. Detailers who cover your town see the job and up to 3 of them can respond with a price.
What is the “typical price range” I see while filling in the form?
It is a guide worked out from a rate table for your vehicle type, its condition, the service and the extras you ticked. It is not a quote. Each detailer sets their own price in their offer, and it can be above or below the range.
Who sees my name, phone number and email?
Only detailers who accept your request, and at most 3 can. Before a detailer accepts, they see the job (town, vehicle, service, dates, notes and photos) with your name and contact details locked. That rule is enforced on the server, not just hidden on the screen.
I wrote my phone number in the notes. Is that visible?
Phone numbers, email addresses, links and social handles typed into the notes are replaced with “[hidden until you accept]” for any detailer who has not accepted. Your own name typed into the notes would not be caught, so leave it out.
How do I see the offers?
When you send a request you land on a private page for it, and the same link is emailed to you. Offers appear there as they arrive: the detailer’s profile, their price, the earliest day they can come and a short message. Cheapest first.
What happens when I choose a detailer?
The page shows that detailer’s phone number and opens a message thread with them. The other detailers who responded are told the job was filled. Agree the time directly with the one you chose.
Do I have to choose anyone?
No. You can cancel an open request from its page, or let it lapse. A request stays open for 14 days.
Can I trust the ratings?
Ratings can only be left from the private page of a request that was booked through LocalMatch, after the job is marked done. They appear on the detailer’s profile under “Verified jobs”. There is no way to rate a detailer you did not book here.
Why does the directory say “Sample listing”?
LocalMatch is new. While no real detailer has been approved yet, the directory shows a handful of listings marked “Sample listing” so you can see how profiles look. They are not real businesses, have no ratings and cannot receive requests. They disappear when the first real detailer is approved.
What if no detailer covers my town yet?
You can still send the request. It stays open for 14 days and reaches a detailer the moment one starts covering your town. If nobody responds, nothing is charged and nothing else happens.
For detailers
How do I get leads?
Create a free account, fill in your profile (business name, the towns you cover, the services you offer with starting prices) and send it for approval. Once approved, every new request in your towns for a service you offer appears in your leads and is emailed to you.
What do I see before I pay for a lead?
Everything about the job: town, vehicle and condition, service and extras, where the car will be, whether water and power are on site, the days the customer wants, their notes, their photos and the typical price range they were shown. The customer’s name, phone and email are locked until you accept.
What does accepting cost?
One credit per accepted lead. Credits come in packs: 5 for $65 or 12 for $144. On the Territory plan ($99/mo) accepting is free in the towns you picked, up to three towns.
How many detailers get the same lead?
At most 3 can accept a request. Each lead shows how many of those places are taken before you decide.
Do I get a credit back if the customer picks someone else?
No. A credit buys the introduction: the customer’s name, phone and email, and the chance to send your price. It is not refunded automatically if the customer chooses another detailer or cancels. If something went wrong, use the Contact page and a person will look at it.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits stay on your account until you use them.
Why is my profile “waiting for approval”?
New profiles are checked by a person before they appear in the directory or receive leads. If a profile is not approved you are told by email and can edit it and send it again.
About the service
Where does LocalMatch work?
Connecticut only, in all 169 towns, and for one service: mobile car detailing, where the detailer comes to your driveway, workplace or garage.
Is LocalMatch a detailing company?
No. LocalMatch introduces drivers to independent mobile detailers. The detailer you choose does the work, sets the price and is paid by you directly. LocalMatch does not employ detailers or guarantee their work.
Who is behind it?
LocalMatch is made and run by Agent Creative, a small web studio in Connecticut.
