1The agreement
These terms are between you and Agent Creative, a web studio in Connecticut that operates LocalMatch (“LocalMatch”, “we”, “us”). By sending a request, creating an account or otherwise using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2What LocalMatch is, and is not
LocalMatch is a place where a driver in Connecticut describes a mobile car detailing job once, and independent detailers who cover that town can respond with a price. The driver chooses one, or none.
LocalMatch is not a detailing company. We do not employ detailers, supervise their work, set their prices or take payment for their work. The contract for the detailing job is between the driver and the detailer they choose. The “typical price range” shown on the request form is a guide from a rate table, not a quote and not an offer.
3For drivers
- Using LocalMatch as a driver is free. You pay the detailer you choose, directly, on whatever terms you agree with them.
- Give accurate details about the vehicle and where it will be, and a phone number and email address that are yours.
- By sending a request you agree that up to 3 detailers who accept it receive your name, phone number and email address, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You are not obliged to choose anyone. You can cancel an open request from its private page. An unanswered request closes after 14 days.
- Keep your private link to yourself: anyone who has it can see the request, choose a detailer, cancel it or leave the rating.
- Ratings must be honest and about the job that was booked. We may remove a rating that is abusive, unrelated or left by mistake.
4For detailers
- You need an account and a profile. Profiles are reviewed before they are listed, and we may decline or remove a profile that is inaccurate or that we believe would mislead customers.
- Everything on your profile must be true, including whether you are insured and how long you have been in business. You are responsible for holding any license, registration or insurance your work requires.
- Use a customer’s contact details only for the job they asked about. Do not add them to mailing lists, pass them on or contact them about anything else.
- Your offer is your price for the job as described. If the job turns out different on the day, agree any change with the customer before you start.
- Sample listings shown while the directory is empty are ours, are labeled as samples and are not competitors.
5Credits, packs and the Territory plan
Accepting a lead costs one credit, unless the lead is in a town covered by your Territory plan. A credit buys the introduction: the customer’s name, phone and email, and the right to send an offer. At most 3 detailers can accept the same request. Current prices: Pay per lead $0/mo; Territory $99/mo; 5 leads $65; 12 leads $144. Prices can change; a change never affects credits you already hold.
- Credits do not expire.
- A credit is not returned if the customer chooses another detailer, does not reply, or cancels. If a lead was plainly not genuine, tell us through the Contact page and we will look at it and may return the credit.
- Territory is billed monthly through Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; a month already paid for is not refunded part-way.
- Except where the law requires it, purchases of credits are not refundable.
6Fair use
Do not send fake requests, create accounts for someone else’s business, scrape the directory, try to obtain customer details without accepting a lead, or interfere with the site. We may suspend an account or close a request that breaks these terms.
7Your content
You keep ownership of the text and photos you submit. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people the service is designed to show them to: your request to detailers who cover your town, your profile to the public, your rating on the detailer’s profile.
8No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any detailer will respond to a request, or that any number of leads will arrive in a town. We do not vet the quality of a detailer’s work and do not guarantee it.
9Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Agent Creative is not liable for the acts or omissions of drivers or detailers, for damage to a vehicle or property arising from a detailing job, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in connection with LocalMatch is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
11Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions go through the Contact page.
